**Productivity Lead**
Job Purpose:Lead a portfolio of Productivity projects of varying complexity. Identify and prioritize productivity projects within the East Region. Conduct value stream mapping of current operations and distribution processes, identify waste, and implement process improvements.
Scope:This position requires a self-motivated individual, as only general guidance and direction will be provided. Responsible for the leadership of black belt projects and oversight of green belt projects which are broad in nature, often across multiple sites. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of productivity methodology and processes. Act as a resource for the application of advanced productivity tools and discipline. Overcome resistance to change. Achieve productivity benefit goals by skillfully implementing productivity projects.
Reporting Relationships:This position reports to the East Region Productivity Director and is primarily an individual contributor role in productivity. Will train and coach part-time productivity professionals and will lead project teams.
+ Deliver Productivity benefits to achieve plan and position YOY success with strong carryover.
+ Solves complex problems; takes broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
+ Develops conclusions from analyses, applies results, and presents findings.
+ Facilitates idea generation through collaborative efforts (e.g. brainstorming, lean events, and stakeholder engagement) with Operations directors, OES and CCR personnel
+ Analyze plant production and variable costs to drive:
+ Debottlenecking, cost reduction or variable cost improvement projects
+ Optimization of regional production strategy
+ Work with energy management team to identify and evaluate any efficiency improvement incentives
+ Continually seek to replicate production value stream projects in the East Region
+ Continuously builds and demonstrates technical proficiency in the operations areas
+ Understands strategic direction of business unit or division and implements action plans to meet the needs of the business and key stakeholders
+ Establishes a strong leadership presence with project team(s)
+ Bachelor's or Master's Degree is required. (Engineering or Technical Degree is required)
+ Proficiency with complex analysis of large quantities of operating data leading to well-formed and defendable data-driven conclusions required
+ Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to influence required
+ Experience in applying statistical principles desired
+ Six Sigma training or certification preferred
+ At least 6 years of experience in plant operations or operations support required
+ Knowledge of air separation or other industrial gas production technologies including CO2 production or hydrogen liquefaction required
+ Willingness to travel to East Region plant sites as needed up to 25%
